Retirement Speech

I thought it would be fun to see if could write a retirement speech for my wife, and I don’t think I did to bad.  Yes, the rumors are true and she is actually retiring and becoming a stay at home mom, but that does not mean what she will be doing is any less important.  This is something that we have been discussing a for a long time now and it only makes even more sense now that we have three babies.  There are a few things that I am trying to accomplish for our family and this shift will 100% allow me to focus on my plan for world (corporate world) domination.  Justadadslife daytime job is in the corporate world and making this shift will let me take on new opportunities that will allow me to better provide for the squad.  Although it is never easy walking away from a dual income lifestyle (I still cray about it), I always play the long game and know it will work out.  How you say… Well, it just solidifies the fact that I have no choice but to make it happen.  There are people that count on me, rely on me, and I can not and will not let them down.  So, new year, new vibe, new mission, new focus.  Thank you Mrs. Justadadslife for riding with me on this crazy journey we are on, I wouldn’t want anyone else riding shotgun but you.  I love you.  With that said, please enjoy and let’s celebrate the retirement of my wife.

—————————————————————————————————————————————–

When I graduated college in 2012 with my bachelor’s in healthcare administration, I was ready to take on the healthcare world.  Out of school I started off at a private OBGYN office where, to be honest, I didn’t make a lot of money.  I enjoyed the people but didn’t care to much for the office manager and how poorly the owners of the practice paid their people.  After some time, I left this opportunity for another opportunity that offered to pay me a little bit more money and came with a better title.  I can’t really recall to much from my time at this new office because shortly after joining, I was offered another job with a bigger healthcare company.  Although the money was not amazing, I was given my private doctors office where I got to be the office manager and have complete control.  I loved this job a lot, but it was very stressful and took a lot of time away from my family, but I made it work.  I do still miss the patients that we used to see on a regular basis and the great conversations we would have, but after a few years a new opportunity came my way.  I was offered a job with one of the top consulting firms in the world, and after some careful consideration my husband and I decided this was a really great opportunity for our family.  It was hard to believe the offer at the time, so really it was a no-brainer that I was going to take that job.  I got the chance to work with so many different people and do a little business traveling, something I never did before.  Funny enough, I was working for the same firm that my husband worked, he would say we were a boss couple.  I loved that.

Thinking about it all now, I know that I will miss a lot of the wonderful experiences that I shared over the years.  I won’t miss all the BS that i had to deal with, but I think we all deal with BS at our jobs in one form or another.  So I am excited to announce that I once again be starting a new chapter in my illustrious seven (yes, I said seven) year career…  I have decided to leave the corporate world and I have accepted the position of CEO of Ramos enterprises, and I will be managing the day to day activities for this household effective immediately (yes, I’m going to be a stay at home mom).

As a little girl, I always knew that if I studied hard, worked hard, and never took no for an answer… that I would marry a man that would tell me I didn’t have to work anymore.  It took some time, seven years, but I made it happen. So, for those that say dreams don’t come true, I’m here to tell you ‘yes they do honey’.  I’d love to stay and talk but I got some shows on the DVR that I need to catch up on.  Bye Felicia.
